The award-winning project really was a project like no other in New Zealand at the time as we encountered numerous daily challenges which can only be described as trying with the site being situated 1600m above sea level up on a mountain range. The access road itself was a daily challenge and once on site we frequently encountered snow storms, avalanches, natural water springs and winds speeds at times roaring up to 150km per hour which we had to deal with and none of these issues seemed to phase Harry & his team at all.

Due to this our pre-planning across the whole project was paramount, Harry’s planning & can do attitude mixed with his ability to think quickly on his feet were essential ingredients that helped us to make key decisions at the right time to ensure the complexed build despite the compacted programme and challenging weather conditions aided us complete the build in time for the client to open up their new base build in time for the new ski season. It goes without saying that we would have struggled to complete the project in the time frames we did, had we not had Harry and his team on board.
